Embattled actor Timothy Busfield surrendered to New Mexico authorities Tuesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with child ๐๐๐ ๐ช๐ซ๐พ๐ผ๐ฎ charges โ and insisted he was innocent and the disturbing ๐ถ๐๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐พ๐ธ๐๐ were โall lies.โ
The โWest Wingโ star turned himself in to the Albuquerque Police Department after cops alleged he engaged in unlawful ๐๐๐๐๐๐ conduct with 11-year-old twin boys while directing the Fox show โThe Cleaning Ladyโ in 2024, the police department confirmed to The Post.
The โRevenge of the Nerdsโ actor denied the โhorribleโ accusations, stressing that he โdid not do anything to those little boysโ in a video message his lawyer shared with TMZ ahead of his arrest.

โIโm going to confront these lies, theyโre horrible,โ Busfield, 68, said in the clip.
โThey are all lies and I did not do anything to those little boys. And Iโm going to fight it. Iโm going to fight it with a great team, and Iโm going to be exonerated. I know I am because this is all so wrong and all lies.
โSo hang in there, and hopefully Iโm out real soon and back to work. I love everybody for supporting me.โ
Busfield, who was declared missing, also noted that he traveled 2,000 miles to Albuquerque after learning of the charges Friday and obtaining a lawyer the following day.
Representatives for Busfield did not immediately respond to The Postโs request for comment.

The Michigan-born actor-director, best known for his role as Danny Concannon on HBOโs political ๐น๐๐ถ๐๐ถ โThe West Wing,โ faces two counts of criminal misconduct against a minor โ one for each child โ according to a warrant issued on Friday by New Mexico Police.
He is accused of inappropriately touching one of the boys three or four times, and the other five or six times, according to the warrant.
The alleged ๐ช๐ซ๐พ๐ผ๐ฎ began in 2022, when the boy was 7 years old, according to court documents.
It wasnโt investigated until November 2024, when a physician notified police about suspected ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐ซ๐พ๐ผ๐ฎ after examining one of the children at the University of New Mexico Hospital, according to the criminal complaint.
Attorneys for Warner Bros., which produced โThe Cleaning Lady,โ told cops that a prior independent investigation into the ๐ถ๐๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐พ๐ธ๐๐ found no evidence to support the claims, the complaint alleged.
But the โField of Dreamsโ actor allegedly admitted to police that it was โhighly likelyโ he touched kids on the set of the Fox show, explaining how there were no specific rules regarding physical contact with children.
Busfield, who is married to former child actress Melissa Gilbert, told Officer Marvin Brown that the set of โThe Cleaning Ladyโ was a โplayful environment,โ according to an arrest warrant obtained by US Weekly.
โI mean, Iโm always around people, right? It would be, you know, in front of the parents. There would never be a weird moment about it,โ Busfield said in the Nov. 3, 2025 interview, according to the arrest warrant.

โI donโt really remember picking those boys up. I remember picking up the boy who followed them. Iโd pick him up and heโd be giggling and that would sort of get him ready to act.โ
Busfield reportedly added that tickling a child โwouldnโt be uncommonโ for him, but claimed he didnโt remember โovertly tickling the boys everโ in relation to the case.
However, the child actors were โnever alone on set without the teacher, a welfare worker, or a parent,โ he insisted.
Busfieldโs lawyer, Larry Stein, believes the sickening ๐ถ๐๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐พ๐ธ๐๐ were driven by revenge.
Stein, in a statement to The Post, claimed the boysโ mother told an actress on the New Mexico set she wanted payback after her sons were cut from the showโs final season.
โAs reflected in the criminal complaint, after her son was terminated from the show, the boyโs mother vowed to โget her revenge against Timothy Busfield,’โ he argued in the statement.
โWhat followed appears to be a calculated effort to construct a case, driven by animus not fact, despite prior investigations finding no evidence of wrongdoing. The claims being made against Tim are completely false, and we will fight this to the end until the truth prevails.โ
