The Judges operated their fraudulent enterprise under the guise of a legitimate construction business, Judge DFW LLC, using social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram to lure unsuspecting clients. They falsely portrayed Christopher as a licensed architect, enticing victims with below-market bids and promises of high-quality work.

Victims, like Kristen Newman, initially felt reassured by the Judges’ confident presentations. However, as construction delays mounted, their dreams quickly soured. “We started questioning some things,” Newman recounted, revealing how they were met with excuses instead of answers when demanding progress updates.

Another victim, Lane Simmons, described the 𝓈𝒽𝓸𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 reality of their renovations. “Everything they did is wrong,” he lamented, detailing issues like cracking tiles and unsafe structural work. As the Judges’ scheme unraveled, it became clear that they were using payments from one project to fund another, perpetuating a cycle of deceit.

Federal indictments revealed that the Judges had been operating their fraudulent scheme since August 2020, defrauding clients across six counties in Texas. They collected approximately $4.8 million from victims, many of whom were left with incomplete or shoddy work.

Law enforcement, initially hesitant to take on such a complex white-collar case, eventually intervened with the help of the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service. The investigation 𝓮𝔁𝓹𝓸𝓼𝓮𝓭 a web of lies, including the Judges’ misrepresentation of Christopher’s qualifications and their failure to deliver on promised services.

In a plea deal, Raquel is set to face up to five years in prison, while Christopher could receive a sentence of up to 20 years. They have also been ordered to repay the millions stolen from their victims, although the likelihood of full restitution remains uncertain.

As the Judges prepare for their sentencing, the victims continue to grapple with the fallout of their fraudulent actions. Many are left wondering if they will ever see their hard-earned money returned, a stark reminder of the dangers lurking behind glamorous social media facades.
