Kimberley Mills, 37, and her boyfriend, Andre Walker, 36, are in custody after they allegedly inflicted fatal wounds on Xavier Williams before he tragically passed away.

A Flordia mom and her boyfriend were arrested after allegedly using boxing gloves and a copper wire to ‘beat and torture’ her son – who later died.
Kimberley Mills, 37, and her boyfriend, Andre Walker, 36, were taken into custody on child abuse charges after they brought heavily injured Xavier Williams to a hospital. Police later said he had undergone “gruesome abuse” and was left covered “head to toe in various-sized bruises that are in various stages of healing”.
Following the boy’s tragic death last week, police are now said to be working on ‘enhanced’ charges for both Walker and Mills, according to Law & Crime. His death was declared in a GoFundMe page set up by his aunt. She wrote: “With deep sorrow in my heart I must update that today March 21, 2025 at 5:18 pm My nephew took his last breath and pass away.”
Mills and Walker originally brought Xavier to Advent Health Waterman hospital, in Tavares, Flordia, on February 22 at around 10pm.
When he arrived, police said he was not breathing and was covered in various burns and bruises. Mills was offering the child CPR as they arrived, and Walker dashed into the hospital to seek assistance before the couple both left the scene.

Later, Mills returned with another child, per Law and Crime. But when cops spoke to her she initially refused to give up Walker’s name. Police said she eventually told the Department of Children and Families his name.
When officers searched the family home, they discovered items that they alleged were used by the couple to inflict Xavier’s injuries. Orlando ABC affiliate WFTV reported that these included ‘ten-pound weights, boxing gloves, a copper wire and a flashlight’.
Tavares Police Detective Douglas Roberts later said about the abuse Xavier suffered: “While he was having weights dropped on his stomach—he was duct-taped to a ladder.” In an interview, Xavier’s sibling claimed that his brother was ‘punished’ in the property’s living room before he was taken to the garage for a further beating.
A candlelight vigil was held for him this weekend after it was revealed he had sadly passed away.
A statement about the memorial read: “Xavier’s family warmly invites everyone in our community to join them in this moment of remembrance and gratitude for your overwhelming support during this time. Let us come together to show our love, compassion, and solidarity as we celebrate Xavier’s life and the joy he brought to those around him.”
One mourner who saw the news of Xavier’s death on Facebook wrote: “Rarely have I felt so sad about anything as what was done to this poor defenseless child. Lord please have mercy & receive him unto your Loving Bosom for everlasting rest and peace.”
